At Danemill we believe that a happy child is a child who will enjoy learning in a positive and inclusive environment with excellent support and above all, fun. Our goal is to provide the children with an education to develop their full potential, so that each will have a full and satisfying life and may, with happiness and a sense of self-worth, contribute to society. We aim to create a happy, creative, co-operative and imaginative environment for our children.

AboutUs

At Danemill we believe that a happy child is a child who will enjoy learning in a positive and inclusive environment with excellent support and above all, fun.

Our goal is to provide the children with an education to develop their full potential, so that each will have a full and satisfying life and may, with happiness and a sense of self-worth, contribute to society.

We aim to create a happy, creative, co-operative and imaginative environment for our children.

Our children and their development embody our school motto – “Only my best is good enough”. We promise to provide an environment and the support that allows this belief to flourish.

We provide a wide and varied range of extracurricular activities in addition to the National Curriculum that cater for all year groups. The children are actively encouraged to participate in these activities to enhance both their learning and social skills.

The village of Enderby was originally a Danish Settlement, hence the name of the school, Enderby Danemill Primary School.

The school currently occupies two sites. Townsend Road was the original Enderby School and was built in 1906; it currently houses Key Stage 1 and The Foundation Stage.

After completing Key Stage 1 the children transfer to the Key Stage 2 Department in Mill Lane which was built in 1965.

We are currently undergoing a very exciting period of change here at Danemill with the construction of new Key Stage 1 and Foundation Stage premises that will bring together the whole school onto one site. We will be updating the website regularly with information and pictures of the new build as it progresses!

Discovery Schools Academies Trust

Danemill Primary School is part of the Discovery Schools Academies Trust. Click here to find out more about our Trust.

Shared Vision. Shared Values. One Aim.

Discovery Schools Academy Trust (DSAT) was incorporated on 13th June 2012 following an 18 month National Support School Partnership led by Kibworth Church of England Primary School. A formalised partnership was established with Parkland Primary School that raised outcomes for children in each school by sharing expertise as well as staff.

In September 2013 Sileby Redlands Primary School and in November 2013 Danemill Primary school joined the DSAT multi academy group. More recently we have seen the Trust grow further with Woolden Hill Primary School joining in June 2014 and Mowmacre Hill Primary School in September 2014. We now total six primary schools in the Leicestershire region with new schools also showing an interest to be part of the group.

The multi academy partnership is dedicated to improving learning and teaching by creating a culture that promotes excellence. The needs of all children are placed at the heart of all decision making regardless of the school that they attend.

Discovery Schools Academy Trust Ltd is led by Paul Stone, a National Leader of Education and supported by an executive board of directors drawn from the governing bodies of all member schools.
