Welcome to Our School

We warmly welcome you to Elmlea Infant School, which is joined to Elmlea Junior School within the Elmlea Schools’ trust.

Our children begin their Elmlea school journey here in Reception. We have extended induction arrangements in place to ensure a confident start prior to children joining us in Reception. Our outstanding Reception provision, comprises of experienced, empathetic, knowledgeable staff working within spacious rooms and green and leafy outdoor areas, which all provide the very best start to a child’s school experience. During this time the essential building blocks are laid which enable all our children to thrive in school.

From Reception, our children move into Key Stage 1, which is comprised of school years 1 and 2. During this time our children are provided with rich learning experiences as part of the Elmlea curriculum, which enable them to make outstanding progress as they move through the Infant school.

By the time our children leave the Infant School at the end of year 2 they are confident and ready to move to the Junior school, ready for new challenges, experiences and the Key stage 2 curriculum.
