Overview

Heather Ridge Infant School is a two form entry community infant school for children aged 4 to 7 years. The school is situated in attractive surroundings and was built in 1967. The grounds are extensive and provide both paved and grassed playing areas for the children which offer excellent outdoor learning opportunities.

These Include:

• Playground 2000— Shaded area with seats and wooden structures for imaginative play

• Multi Use Games Area—Fenced and marked area for football, tennis and basketball.

• Wooden Stage— stage and seating for imagi-native play

• Large playing field

• Woodlands and pond

• Two hard playground areas

• Happy hut—shaded area

• Covered outdoor learning areas In addition we have an outdoor heated Swimming Pool which is extensively used during the summer months.

The school building has six class bases each provided with toilets and cloak-rooms, an ICT suite, both non and fiction libraries, large hall and on-site kitchen. Heather Ridge Infant School is maintained by Surrey County Council.

Our school works in partnership with other schools through the Surrey Heath Learning Partnership (SHLP).

Our vision is core to the Surrey Heath Learning Partnership and we really believe we are more effective when working together. The Partnership is a rich and diverse cross phase collaboration of 29 schools in the Borough of Surrey Heath with a history of working effectively for over 9 years to improve outcomes for all children and young people.
