Welcome to the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership. Our Trust vision is to inspire learners and secure the very best outcomes for all the children in our schools. Our focus on values encourages our pupils to become confident, considerate, determined, enthusiastic and independent learners. As a Trust we take collective responsibility and are accountable for the development of every pupil agreeing common approaches where it is effective to do so whilst recognising the unique qualities of each of our partner schools and the local communities they serve and celebrating their individual culture and ethos of the schools that make up the Trust.

We know we are stronger together, working collectively to equip our pupils to help them develop the personal qualities, skills, experience, breadth of knowledge and qualifications to allow them to meet their potential in their future lives. As a Trust we deliver a creative and engaging curriculum for learners from 4 to 19, engaging parents/carers in genuine partnership to support each child’s development at the earliest opportunity and recognising individual talents whether that be in sports, music or in the arts. Our mission is to continually improve the educational outcomes and life chances of our learners – our moral purpose for all pupils in the HWLP community.

Vision, Mission and Values

The Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership aims to inspire learners of all ages to meet their potential, embody our Trust values and be the best they can be.

We support and enable our school leaders and staff to put pupils at the heart of everything we do. We will be ambitious for our pupils and put their needs above all else through a broad and balanced curriculum designed to meet their needs, hopes and aspirations – a curriculum which nurtures the physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and intellectual health of each child. Where a school needs our support, we will deliver a School Improvement Offer that celebrates and shares best practice and drives improvement at pace.

We treat each member of the Trust community as of equal value, nurturing and valuing our staff and treating each other with kindness, dignity and respect. We are an ambitious cross-Phase Multi Academy Trust offering high quality centralised services which enable our staff to work collaboratively, network across the Trust and benefit from expert financial management and first-class facilities.

  • Free lunch for colleagues if they are staying later to attend parents’ evenings.
  • Membership of Local Government Pension Scheme/Teachers' Pension Scheme as appropriate, with generous employer contribution.
  • Time off, cover permitting, for celebration of ad hoc close family events eg child’s nativity play, graduation etc.
  • A supportive Staff Association which covers a range of events including provision of end of term food and drinks and sending small gifts to colleagues at times of celebration or loss.

Join our schools in HWLP

The Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership was formed on 1st July 2019 when Hinchley Wood School (formerly a single-academy trust) became a multi-academy trust. Initially, Hinchley Wood School was the only member of this trust but, on the 1st of October 2019, we were joined by Hinchley Wood Primary School and Thames Ditton Junior School on the 1st of November 2022.

We wish to grow as a Trust at the right time and in the right way. We are committed to a “seamless” all-through education for all members of our local community. Therefore, our commitment to work with schools across the local area (including those that are not part of the HWLP) remains as strong as ever. We also wish to ensure that we have the capacity to offer bespoke support any school we take on and therefore it is essential we choose the right new partners before we expand further rather than rushing into any Trust expansion. Nonetheless, if you are interested in joining the HWLP, we would be delighted to meet with you to share the many benefits of becoming part of our partnership.
