We achieve this through our School Aims: Enabling every child to fulfil their potential by fostering a love of learning and providing a consistently high standard of teaching in a safe and stimulating environment. Promoting positive behaviour by having high expectations and encouraging all children to develop tolerance, mutual respect and understanding of others. Demonstrating an inclusive approach, ensuring that children feel safe and secure and that every member of the school community is valued. Ensuring children leave the school capable, confident and prepared to meet the challenge of the next stage of their education.

About Us

Hurst Green School is a small school, with approximately 100 pupils on roll, serving the village of Hurst Green although some children travel from outlying villages. We have our own attached Nursery class and Children's Centre. We are committed to 'Bringing Out the Best by Caring, Learning and Achieving Together'.

We had an OFSTED inpsection (September 2010) that pronounced 'Hurst Green is a good school. Since the previous inspection, the headteachers have established an excellent ethos in which pupils feel safe, valued and confident to contribute wholeheartedly to the school and local community.  The care and support for pupils is excellent and as a result their personal development and well-being are outstanding. Pupils' behaviour and attitudes to work are exemplary. Throughout the school, relationships between staff and pupils are excellent.' In their interim assessment in Spring 2014 Ofsted considered that the school's good performance has been sustained. Please take a look at our website to find out more about us!
