Here at Merrow Infant School we aim to provide the highest quality of infant education through an excellent teaching and learning environment.  Children really do matter most!  We have beautiful grounds with outstanding facilities which cater for the needs of four to seven year olds.

Each classroom is large and well equipped with a variety of resources.  Interactive white boards enhance the children’s learning across the curriculum.  The committed staff work together to plan a broad and exciting curriculum which fulfils the aims of the school.  We are a Church of England Infant School and work within a Christian framework.

About Us

OFSTED Our last Ofsted inspection was in February 2011 and we gained outstanding status.  As a result of her highly committed approach to leadership, the headteacher has created an excellent team spirit among all the teaching and support staff.  This factor, combined with the outstanding quality of pastoral care has been the key to the school’s success. The inspectors were very impressed with the: "impeccable behaviour of the children, their highly responsible attitude to the range of roles and responsibilities and the high quality climate for learning that was evident in all classes.  Pupils achieve highly and 100% of parents said that their children enjoyed school.  Parents were very positive about the school, saying that it has a very special atmosphere where children are incredibly well looked after, cared for and taught."
