Overview

Park Spring Primary offers education from 3 years old, starting in Nursery through to Year 6.

It is an energetic, happy school where children enjoy learning and achieve well. We believe that this school is unique and the relationships we develop with our children and families enable us to create a friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere. Our committed teaching and support staff strive to bring out the very best in our children and equip them with the skills they need for their future.

We are very proud of our school, a visit is really the only way to see what we can truly offer to you and your child. Contact the school office and I will be delighted to personally show you around.

About Us

Park Spring Primary School building was opened in 1964 and stands in a large grassed field that is fully enclosed with an excellent and secure fence. There was a major refurbishment in 1989 which provided the bulk of school furniture, carpets and curtains. In July 1995 a new library and office extension was completed and in June 1996 a security system for the protection of the children was installed. During the summer 2006, a major redevelopment was completed with the combination of our Nursery and Reception into a new Foundation Stage Unit including a redesigned outdoor classroom and play area. The further development of building and grounds remains a developmental area for the Governors since we are constantly seeking to provide the best possible learning and sustainable environment for the children. In the summer of 2000 we began the process of providing facilities for extended day care for local children on our school site. New Beginnings at Park Spring opened in the Spring Term 2003 and offers full day care to babies and young children throughout the year, including wrap-around care for children attending Park Spring Nursery. They offer quality care for children which is also fun. Information on dates, times, costs are available by contacting Liz at New Beginnings. We have a popular Breakfast Club run by Mrs Holl our Learning Mentor, which some children attend each morning before school starts.
