About Us

Red Oaks Primary School opened in September 2006 on the new Learning Campus in Redhouse. The school has a key role to play in the life of the community both as a school and a community centre. Very close working relationships are being forged across the four Learning Campus Schools:

  • Red Oaks Primary School
  • Brimble Hill School
  • Uplands School
  • Abbey Park Secondary School (formerly Isambard)

Red Oaks caters for children aged 3-11, from nursery through to the end of the primary range at 11 years old.

School Mission

  • Rise to challenges and aspire to excellence through a creative and inclusive curriculum
  • Build relationships by respecting and valuing everyone as an individual
  • Provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment where everyone has a voice
  • Encourage curiosity, enthusiasm and independence through enquiry learning
  • Support life-long learning by promoting an 'I can' attitude
  • Recognise and value our place in a diverse and evolving global community
  • Value communication with all stakeholders
  • ...and most of all...creating memories!

As a school we aim to provide for the development of the whole child. We aim to provide a caring, stimulating learning environment, where children feel valued as individuals and where every one of them has a role to play in the life of the school. All staff promote self-esteem and pride in a job well done. There is a lot of laughter at Red Oaks as well as hard work!

Children are encouraged to be active participants in their own learning, have a positive attitude, perseverance and set high expectations of themselves. An enquiry based curriculum is offered to all children encompassing the National Curriculum and RE Curriculum. Red Oaks is a school that is constantly exploring new and innovative teaching approaches to ensure that we excite children’s learning.
