Overview

It is the aim of the staff and governors at Redlands to ensure that all our children are happy and enjoy their time at school. We like to promote an environment in which every child has the potential to do their very best and be recognised for all their achievements. We have close links with our community and believe in working together to inspire the children to be proud of the place in which they live. Our parents are fantastic and work hard to support the school and we are a school that is very much at the centre of the village of Sileby.

About Us

At Redlands we believe in putting the children at the heart of everything that we do and this includes providing the children with a creative curriculum that is both exciting and inspiring. Our children have their learning brought to life by carefully planned opportunities that enthuse, engage and motivate our children to want to find out more.

Discovery Schools Academies Trust

Redlands Community Primary School is part of the Discovery Schools Academies Trust. Click here to find out more about our Trust.

Shared Vision. Shared Values. One Aim.

Discovery Schools Academies Trust (DSAT) was incorporated on 13th June 2012 following an 18 month National Support School Partnership led by Kibworth Church of England Primary School. A formalised partnership was established with Parkland Primary School that raised outcomes for children in each school by sharing expertise as well as staff.

In September 2013 Sileby Redlands Primary School and in November 2013 Danemill Primary school joined the DSAT multi academy group. More recently we have seen the Trust grow further with Woolden Hill Primary School joining in June 2014 and Mowmacre Hill Primary School in September 2014. We now total six primary schools in the Leicestershire region with new schools also showing an interest to be part of the group.

The multi academy partnership is dedicated to improving learning and teaching by creating a culture that promotes excellence. The needs of all children are placed at the heart of all decision making regardless of the school that they attend.

Discovery Schools Academies Trust Ltd is led by Paul Stone, a National Leader of Education and supported by an executive board of directors drawn from the governing bodies of all member schools.
