Head Teachers Welcome

“To be a community of learners - children, staff & parents - aiming high to excel & exceed! We believe in motivating and inspiring all learners so they embrace challenge with resilience, show respect and collaborate well so they can achieve excellence.”

Robin Hood Primary is caring and nurturing environment where we encourage all our children to be 'Aiming High' each and every day. We teach our children to respect themselves and show respect and appreciation for others.

We provide an exciting curriculum so that all our pupils are able to develop their interests and talents and become happy, lifelong learners who acquire the skills, abilities and to become confident adults.

We motivate and inspire our pupils through providing high quality music tuition, opportunities to learn about the environment and in the outdoors, links with other countries and a range of sporting activities and events. We are exceptionally lucky to be so well resourced with digital devices (over 180 1:2:1 ipads!) and some bespoke spaces (The Hub / The Hayroom / The Foxhole and The Base) to best support the learners in our school.

We are a staff who want to refine our approach to teaching and learning. Currently our focus in developing CPD opportunities for staff is to reflect how we can help children retain information. We also have an annual "theme" which runs throughout school and is the basis for many themed whole school days across the year. In 2023-24, our theme is: "Future Me!" and we want to ensure children at Robin Hood reflect on their physical and mental future health and the ambitions they have for the future!

Every child will experience the "Fantastic 15 for all" opportunities throughout their education in our school and we know these opportunities will "broaden their horizons!"

As you explore this site you will find out more about the pupils, the staff and the school. We are always very happy to show visitors round our school,

Please do get in touch if you want to know more!

OUr Aims

Our aims build on our school vision:

“To be a community of learners - children, staff & parents - aiming high to excel & exceed. We believe in motivating and inspiring all learners so they embrace challenge with resilience, show respect and collaborate well so they can achieve excellence.”

We aim that every child regardless of their starting point or additional need makes good progress in their learning. The acquisition of early reading skills and loving books are integral to this.

We aim that every child feels safe, happy and comfortable whilst in school and that their attendance to school is good.

We aim that every child is nurtured and cared for so they are able to discover their individual skill and talent and are able to excel in this area. We believe parents are a child's key educator so we hope to foster good relationships with parents to support their child in their learning journey.
