About Us

We are extremely proud of our school and believe that our pupils deserve an excellent education and a high quality, holistic primary school experience. We believe in providing the best education for our pupils and strive to make sure that they enjoy their time with us. We aim to provide a caring, trusting and safe learning environment and want to inspire each and everyone one of our pupils to aim high and achieve well.

Our dedicated staff work with the extended school community to ensure all our children are given the very best opportunities and we encourage them to ‘aim to be the best you can be’. To help achieve this the school works in partnership with parents, carers and the extended community to enhance the quality of education provided by the school.

About Us

Rokeby Park Primary School first opened its doors in 1933. The school is located in a popular residential area to the west of Hull, near to the Costello Sports Stadium. The school has around 200 pupils on roll. Pupils living in the catchment area of the school usually transfer to Sirius Academy West.

On 1st June 2018, Rokeby Park Primary became proud members of The Constellation Trust.

The admission number for each year group is 30. The school has a nursery and an early admissions policy for pupils starting in the Reception class, which takes pupils in the September of the year of their fifth birthday. Applications are dealt with by the Local Authority. More information about our school’s admission arrangements can be found in the parents’ section on this website or on the Local Authority website.

Pupils and parents will be invited to the school before they start to meet staff, familiarise themselves with the school surroundings and to ask any questions about the school. School staff will also carry out home visits to new pupils and their families so that children, parents and teachers get to know each other and can discuss the provision we provide, expectations and any other issues.

Parents who move into the area should contact the school regarding pupil admission. An appointment will usually be made for them to visit the school to ask questions and discuss admission arrangements.

Our last Ofsted inspection was in April 2017 and we were judged to be a ‘good’ school.
