Overview

We work hard to create an environment where students will be happy, grow in self-confidence, thrive academically, and make the most of the many opportunities we offer. We pride ourselves on the pursuit of excellence both inside the classroom and out, and on encouraging pupils to develop their talents and interests. We take 154 boys into Year 7 who join us from Gloucester, the county and beyond. We have a mixed Sixth Form into which we have welcomed a current total of 128 girls.  Although we are a progressive and modern centre of learning excellence, we have not forgotten our heritage and we are proud of our traditions, the best of which underpin and influence the overall ethos of the School. The school motto ‘Garde Ta Foy’ is written in Old French, it means Keep the Faith.

About Us

The aims of our curriculum are to offer a broad and balanced range of subjects which cultivate knowledge, skills and understanding. We wish to promote a spirit of intellectual enquiry and a love of learning which will remain with Richians long after they have left us.
