Welcome to our web pages for St John's and St Chrysostom's Church of England Primary Schools, Manchester.

Two schools with one Christian vision to provide the very best educational experience to prepare our children to engage with their local communities, for secondary education and discover the self belief of independent learners. The two schools have excellent standards of behaviour, value faith and the development of the whole child.

We love to learn

I am proud to work for the two schools and lead a capable team who serve our local Longsight community.

For details of job vacancies visit the Manchester Council website. We are currently in the process of recruiting for a new Assistant Headteacher (non-teaching role) to support the children across the Federation who have special educational needs.

Both schools serve a diverse catchment and have a wonderful mix of children and staff from the Greater Manchester area. We have places in classes (including Nursery and reception) for January 2019.  If you are a parent and would like to arrange a visit please contact the school office. I look forward to meeting you.  We do have a spaces in some classes so please apply via Manchester admissions.

About Us

The Governing Body and entire staff team believe that it is a priviledge to educate and nurture the children in our schools. Through the establishment of high expectations of behaviour and academic excellence the school aims to prepare children for their future at high school and for life.

Our vision starts with the high expectation that all children have potential talents that require a safe learning environment where learners boldly attempt new challenges and take risks with confidence. Our educational teams across the schools and age ranges are passionate about children’s literature and engendering a love of reading and learning. The importance of the Arts within the curriculum is part of our vision to provide a rich, creative and  experiential sequence of learning for all children in a school environment that promotes respect and tolerance.

We are proud to be two closely aligned Church of England primary schools who serve the local community where we value all children and the role of the parents to support a love of lifelong learning.
