Southern Cross School is part of the Manchester Federation of EBSD schools. It is a Local Authority day school which serves pupils aged 11-14 with a statement of special educational needs and whose mainstream schooling has broken down for a variety of reasons.
Southern Cross School is an exciting place to learn, where each person is valued and everyone is nurtured and encouraged to succeed to the best of their ability. In our last Ofsted Inspection we were judged to be good.
We are committed to creating a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment where everyone encouraged to reach their potential. We will promote respect, responsibility, independence and creativity in order to build confidence, increase motivation and establish a love and thirst for learning which will help prepare our children for their future life in the wider society.
At the end of year 9, pupils will transfer to one of our Key Stage 4 provisions, either Castlefield Campus or Wythenshawe Campus, where they will be able to achieve their GCSE’s and other accreditations.
