St Albans RC High School

BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE

St-Albans-Homework.jpg

We believe passionately in supporting students to ‘Be the best that they can be’ through raising their achievement and aspirations, based on Christian values within a caring and thriving community.

We are fortunate in having a talented and committed team of colleagues, providing excellent opportunities within the classroom, as well as in sport, music, drama and performing arts, appealing to the range of skills and interests your children will already have developed in their current schools and outside.

Our Faith

Our chapel, at the heart of our school

st-albans-rc.jpg

Like our chapel, our Catholic Ethos lies at the heart of everything we do at St Alban’s and this is reflected in the behaviour of our students and their academic achievements, where every child is valued and encouraged to fulfil their potential – High Ambition, High Challenge and High Achievement in a caring Christian community.

Every week our whole school community worship as a family form group. Our staff each lead these with the assistance of the Chaplain’s resources. Each resource is relevant to the liturgical calendar, revolves around the Gospel of the Sunday before and allows our students to pray alongside the Universal Catholic Community. Finished off with the monthly words of wisdom by Our Holy Father, Pope Francis.

“During Form Time it can be difficult to lead worship. However, the prayer resources that we receive are beneficial to assist and are engaging for the pupils. They look forward to Form Time Worship each week.“
