Welcome

Welcome

A Welcome from our Executive Headteacher. Mylene McGuire - National Leader of Education(NLE)

I am delighted to Welcome you to our lovely school. St Cuthbert's was graded as 'Good' in it's last full Ofsted inspection February 2019 and Personal development and wellbeing was judged to be 'Outstanding'.

We are a vibrant, developing community with a happy, family-orientated environment and a commitment to ensuring that all of our children achieve their personal best.

God has given each of us special talents and here at St. Cuthbert’s we strive to provide numerous opportunities for all of us to reach our potential. Our children have a rich and exciting curriculum grounded in the roots of our faith. We plan lots of exciting things both in and out of the classroom and our curriculum includes sports, cultural activities, charity fund-raising, exciting trips, interesting visitors and parish events.

We are a Catholic School and celebrate each unique child, whatever their Faith. We embrace our differences, create space for forgiveness and journey towards a shared understanding of God’s love for each of us. Because our children are listened to and valued, they feel they belong and continue to achieve and grow.

Our school is an extension of the Parish, and making Jesus known and loved is at the centre of everything we do.Our core teaching for our children is at the heart of our Mission: 'We Love, We Learn, We Grow'

Vision and Values

Vision

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. We love, we learn, we grow. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident and happy citizens.

Our school is a place where all individuals are treated with respect and courtesy irrespective of their age, gender, race, nationality, cultural background or lifestyle through our mission statement. It is a school where all children are encouraged to strive to be the best that they can be, academically and personally, where the well-being of everyone is a priority.

Our school is committed to providing all pupils with teaching and support of the highest possible quality, within a safe and welcoming environment. St Cuthbert's RC Primary School is a learning community providing both challenge and enjoyment within a partnership of parents, family members and representatives of the local and wider community.
