Welcome to St Ignatius Catholic Primary School!

St Ignatius is a thriving, diverse Catholic Primary School in Sunbury-on Thames. We are a two-form entry school, maintained by the Diocese of Westminster, providing a quality education for children from Reception to Year Six. We primarily serve the parishes of St Ignatius Sunbury and St John Fisher Shepperton, though we have many children from other local parishes.

Everything we do at St Ignatius is rooted in our Catholic ethos and Gospel Values, knowing that all children are made in God's image and are loved by Him, and that it is our life's work to develop the whole child.

We have three key aims: Excellence, Unity and Service.

Mission Statement: Achieving our best by learning together and serving one another.

We aim to:

achieve excellence for all

be ‘for others’

find God in all things

build the Kingdom

laugh and grow strong

All for the greater glory of God

Our mission statement is taken from the words of St. Ignatius.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 9:14

At St Ignatius we ensure that we place strong emphasis on the whole child, supporting their spiritual, moral and emotional development as well as their academic attainment.

We help our children to develop and grow in love and faith, grounded in Catholic values, teaching and traditions, which are also reflected by our staff.
