Overview

St Illtyd’s is an 11-16 Voluntary Aided Catholic school, serving the eastern side of Cardiff. I took up the post as head teacher in April 2018. The aim of our school is a simple one we want St. Illtyd's to become one of the leading schools in Wales and the school of choice for parents in the local area where pupils make exceptional progress and achieve the best that they can. I know that we can make this happen if we all work together. That is why we say “Together in Christ, we make a difference”.

About Us

Mission Statement Our mission statement is ‘Together in Christ, we make a difference.’ The school logo incorporates the Latin motto Sanctitas, Sanitas, Scientia, Signum Fidei. This translates as Holiness, Health, Knowledge and Sign of Faith. This was written by the De La Salle Brothers when the school was founded back in 1924.
