Welcome to Our School

LOVE...LEAD...LEARN

At St Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Primary School, we live through our mission statement of charity and love. Strong, positive, caring relationships, high expectations and making the most of every learning opportunity are key features of our school.

We are committed to every child achieving their potential and becoming a confident life-long learner.  In our school, learners also grow and develop through the love and teachings of Christ, becoming responsible citizens able to make a positive contribution in society.

We want our learners of all ages to enjoy school, to learn and love learning, to have fun, make friends and grow in awareness of those around them. We also want them to work hard and experience success across a range of subjects and experiences both in and outside school.

Our Vision and Values

St Nicholas Of Tolentino was known for having a special love of children, a passion for caring for the poor and an ability to heal suffering and hurt. It is fitting that our name reflects our values; children and young people are at the centre of all we do; we are totally committed to care for all in our community, but particularly the most disadvantaged; and we seek to heal hurt and inequality wherever we encounter it.

  • We believe that every child and young person is important and it is our mission to guarantee success for every individual;
  • We believe in having high expectations of children and young people and of ourselves;
  • We believe positive relationships are vital to success in life and in education. People learn far more effectively if they are happy and secure and if they can make a positive contribution. We actively promote the notion of service and helping others;
  • We believe that partnership is essential to successful education and that our school listens to, and grows with, its community. Parents are a vital partner in ensuring that progress and outcomes for children and young people are outstanding. We welcome partnerships in many forms.
