Overview

Thank you for logging in to our small world on eteach!

The info we outline here will provide only the smallest glimpse of how wonderful St Pauls CE Primary School is. Do pop along and meet us - our children would love to show you around!

Whether you are starting out on your teaching career or have more experience as a teacher, a warm welcome will be given to you at St Pauls.

We work hard to make teaching and learning as motivating and enjoyable as possible, challenging children to move out on  Learning Limbs surprising themselves with what they can achieve.

This only happens through having a thoroughly professional, able and supportive  teaching team. Do contact us to find out how joining our team at St Pauls will be the best thing you can do for you and your teaching career.

OUR VALUES

  • CARING  - We strive to provide an environment where each child feels happy, valued and supported. Adults and children care, support and are sensitive to each other so that all are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives that demonstrate care for others and for their world.
  • CONFIDENCE BUILDING - We aim to develop confident independent learners. We promote challenge through high expectations of learning and behaviour in an environment where children are encouraged and are not afraid to make mistakes.
  • CREATIVE - We have a strong creative focus within our curriculum, ensuring that learning can excite, inspire and capture children’s imagination. Within this we support their spirituality and reflective skills.
  • CONTRIBUTION - All members of our school community are valued and recognised. We value genuine dialogue and listen to the views of children, parents, staff and governors as we work together.
  • COMMUNITY - We promote good community links and raise awareness of children for our responsibilities as citizens in the wider world.

AboutUs

St Pauls School is a two-form entry, voluntary-aided Church of England primary school located in a quiet residential road overlooking the beautiful and vibrant town of Dorking. From our playing fields you gain a stunning view of the surrounding Surrey Hills (AONB)

We are a friendly, welcoming school loved by children, staff, parents and governors.

We have a family atmosphere where we nurture the children in our care, set high standards and provide a breadth of experience that all pupils can access.

The school buildings are bright and spacious, we are well resourced and we have staff who work well together as a team.

Our school grounds are used to support learning in many ways. We encourage teachers to be creative in the way they lead the learning. Whether it be through holding an Aussie-style Beach BBQ on the field or investigating maths-in-nature in the Copse, our children relish opportunities to find out about the word around them.

Working for Us

St Paul’s Church of England (Aided) Primary School is a highly regarded two form entry primary school.

Our children are confident, self-disciplined and enthusiastic. This is what they have to say about their school:

"I adore school. It's such fun." (Isobel)

"Playing in the Copse and on the field is the best." (Zain)

"The teachers are really friendly. They care for us, take us on great school trips and they teach us amazing topics." (Thomas)

"I love playing with the toys on the playground at playtime. The Year Six Play Leaders are great fun too." (Felicity)

Our staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are talented and innovative.

Parents and carers are highly supportive.

Our governors are dedicated to achieving the best for all the children in our care and supporting all our staff in achieving this goal.

We are a well-resourced school and we are keen to maintain a commitment to providing the highest quality education for our children, whilst seeking new opportunities and challenges.

We offer the employment benefits as for Surrey County Council  employees and fall within the fringe area for teachers pay.
