Welcome

We are a happy, vibrant two form primary school not far from the centre of Dorking, with 420 children from Reception to Year 6. We are fortunate to have a great, enthusiastic and dynamic team of staff who are passionate about learning and helping children to flourish. We have high expectations for one another and have a caring, inclusive philosophy.

We are a Church of England school and our vision: Inspiring Learning, Nurturing Wholeness shapes and motivates all we do, driving all of our actions. We want the very best for every child – we want to offer them rich and inspiring opportunities to enable them to learn to their full potential in a way that nurtures them fully and develops them as a whole person; emotionally, socially, academically and spiritually. Our six school values: Compassion, Hope, Perseverance, Respect, Trust and Wisdom are central to and at the heart of the way we learn and relate to one another.

Our children love learning and are keen and motivated to push themselves to be the very best they can be. We have a thriving breakfast club and on site after school and holiday provision from our independent provider Action House, and our families really value this.

We warmly welcome visitors and have a very active parent body who enthusiastically support all aspects of school life.

Working for Us

St Paul’s Church of England (Aided) Primary School is a highly regarded two form entry primary school.

Our children are confident, self-disciplined and enthusiastic. This is what they have to say about their school:

"I adore school. It's such fun." (Isobel)

"Playing in the Copse and on the field is the best." (Zain)

"The teachers are really friendly. They care for us, take us on great school trips and they teach us amazing topics." (Thomas)

"I love playing with the toys on the playground at playtime. The Year Six Play Leaders are great fun too." (Felicity)

Our staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are talented and innovative.

Parents and carers are highly supportive.

Our governors are dedicated to achieving the best for all the children in our care and supporting all our staff in achieving this goal.

We are a well-resourced school and we are keen to maintain a commitment to providing the highest quality education for our children, whilst seeking new opportunities and challenges.

We offer the employment benefits as for Surrey County Council  employees and fall within the fringe area for teachers pay.
