Overview

At St Rose’s and St Martin’s we give each and every one of our students the individual attention they need to help them achieve their potential. Ours is a happy and nurturing environment where we challenge our students to develop, and provide an exceptional quality of care for them and their whole family.

We provide education, therapy and day and residential care for children and students aged 2 to 25, with a wide range of disabilities, including Autism. In our nursery we have mainstream children, as well as children with disabilities. Many of our students have physical disabilities, as well as sensory, learning and communication difficulties; some also have complex health needs.

Everything we do at St Rose’s and St Martin’s is about the individual; we are very flexible about the programmes we put together for each of our students and we work closely with families to do this. We work together to open up opportunities for our students, empowering them to develop their own sense of independence.

On site we have our own highly skilled and experienced specialist teaching staff and therapists. We offer a range of therapies including physio, speech and language, occupational, aquatic, massage and music. Staff work closely together to encourage social and personal development as well as to support each young person with their learning, achievement and to meet their aspirations.

We celebrate success and personal achievement in many ways and our students enjoy social activities as part of their learning. We offer many extra-curricular activities, including sports, clubs and educational visits. Our beautiful grounds are within walking distance to the centre of Stroud, where our links with the community are strong and well-established.

The inspiring courage of our Catholic founders gives us a strong spiritual ethos. We welcome students of all religions and none. You are welcome to visit to experience the family-feel of St Rose’s and St Martin’s, where we celebrate success and bring opportunity and choice to children and students with disabilities.
