The Diocese of Nottingham covers most of the East Midlands and has a strong tradition of providing an excellent Catholic education to around 30,000 children and students in 84 schools, academies and Trusts. From September 1st 2018 all 84 schools will move to the four new Catholic Multi-Academy Trusts covering all the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Nottingham. St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi Academy Trust will be one of these four MATS that covers the Leicester City and Leicestershire area. The central team, based at Charnwood Edge Businss Park, Cossington will provide central services for all 22 schools within the Leicester/Leicestershire CMAT including School Improvement, Business Services, Finance and HR.  All intial enquiries regarding posts in this central team can be directed to Paula Cooper, HR manager on 07751 797969

Our Catholic multi-Academy Trust (CMAT) was established by the Rt Rev Patrick McKinney, Bishop of Nottingham, and came into being on 1 September 2018.

The existence of the CMAT will provide new ways for our schools to work together. Children will benefit from the expertise of staff from across the schools, and they will have increased opportunities to work with young people from other schools also. Training for our staff will provide even greater quality in our classrooms, and better value for money will mean that more resources can be focussed in those classrooms.

We are truly blessed to belong to a family of schools which, with Christ at the heart of all that we do, shares a common mission to prepare our young people for a wholesome, fulfilling, active life in the future.
