Tameside Primary School is situated in the north-west of Sandwell, one of the metropolitan boroughs which make up the West Midlands. We are in the Friar Park ward within the town of Wednesbury. Most of the children who attend Tameside live within walking distance of school, although a growing number of pupils live in the neighbouring towns of West Bromwich and Walsall.

Tameside is a very happy school with a strong inclusive ethos.  We have a team which works together effectively to ensure that every child makes good progress and achieves well in all that they set out to do.  We believe we can only do our very best when we all work together in genuine partnership with you and the wider community.  We want to do the very best that we can for your child, and we ask you to support us in our work.

At Tameside Primary School, we aim to:

  • create a caring atmosphere where every child can achieve their very best.
  • provide quality teaching and learning experiences, and many exciting oppurtunities for children to explore the world and have fun.
  • equip the children with the key skills in Reading, Writing and Mathematics to become confident, life-long learners.
  • promote respect for all members of the global community.
  • ensure that no child suffers from racism or any other form of bullying.

As a school it is our responsibility to guide our children to understand their roles and responsibilities as young citizens.
