The Bishop Wand Church of England School is one that offers your child a wonderful education in a friendly caring environment ensuring they are happy in their time at school.

Our aim is to provide all young people with an education firmly based on Christian values that will lead to them becoming competent, confident and articulate members of society and achieving excellent examination results.

Our School community attaches great importance to developing interests and skills that meet the needs of each individual student, so valuing their unique worth.

Our fundamental belief is that children will succeed when learning in a happy, challenging environment where there is mutual respect for all in the community.  We must always focus on improving the quality of the education our young people experience and place great importance in working together as students, staff and parents.

The Bishop Wand Church of England School was founded in 1969 to serve the Borough of Spelthorne and the London Boroughs of Richmond and Hounslow. The School, named after the former Bishop of London, The Rt. Revd J.W.C. Wand (1945 – 55) was established to provide secondary education “in accordance with the principles and practices of the Church of England”.

The School, in partnership with homes and churches, offers an education firmly based on Christian values.
