The Vale of Glamorgan, with a population of more than 119,000 and a school size of 19,000 is one of the middle sized Unitary Authorities in Wales. The Authority is now well placed to focus specifically on the educational requirements of the Vale by bringing together an exciting mix of professional skills in support of our schools. This will involve a close relationship with our teachers in developing planning and provision across the full range of Education Services, working with the LEA to ensure that useful skills can be shared and helpful knowledge pooled for the benefit of the children, the teachers, parents and governors of our family of schools in the Vale of Glamorgan.
