Overview

At Thorpe Church of England Primary School we offer each child a safe, caring environment where they thrive socially and academically. We are an inclusive school and work hard to ensure each child enjoys their learning and blossoms as a result of their time with us.

During the spring term 2019 we had a visit from Ofsted who inspected our school and judged us to be “Good” in each of the five components of the inspection: effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, outcomes for pupils and early years provision.

At our most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) we were judged Outstanding in each of the four components of the inspection: Distinctive Christian character, Impact of collective worship on the school community, effectiveness of religious education, effectiveness of leadership and management of the school as a church school.

Our achievements have been made possible by the dedication of our staff and governors who work tirelessly to support children to be the best they can.

Through regular reflection, we are aware of what we do well and quickly identify and address any area requiring development so that each child progresses well and achieves to the best of their ability.
