Tortworth Primary School is a small school with a big heart and is part of an ambitious trust with a shared ambition to provide ‘a great education for every child’. The rural setting of Tortworth means the school is lucky to have extensive outdoor space, including a large forest school area which staff and children love using to enhance learning; a school field and access to another large field; a peace garden and an area with wooden play equipment.

The school is currently split into three classes and also has a separate library and hall. Tortworth aims to develop the family feel that can be fostered in a small-school community by challenging all children to reach their potential, encouraging kindness and inclusion and recognising each child’s unique talents. Our Headteacher leads both Tortworth Primary School and Charfield Primary School.
