Uplands Manor Primary School was formed on the 1st September 1997, this was as a result of the amalgamation of Uplands Infants School and Uplands Junior School. The School is able to accommodate 961 pupils aged between 4 and 11. The standard admission number is 90. there is a flourishing 120 place nursery, which provide a very structured learning environment and enables children to have a good start to their school career.

There are three main areas of the school:

1. The Nursery

2. The Reception and key stage 1 department which is on the ground floor

3. The Key stage 2 department which is upstairs

The school has enormous potential for developing the building and grounds. in the last four years we have created three computer rooms, improvements to the playground and had a rolling programme of refurbishment in classrooms, corridors ands other areas of the school. there is a new library and we have just completed our new sports facilities.

The school serves the immediate neighbourhood of Smethwick, some children come from further a field because of parent choice.
