Welcome to Waycroft Multi Academy Trust. The Trust is a group of schools all located in South Bristol where the Trustees and staff work together to create learning environments which promote high quality and enjoyable educational experiences suitable for every child.

Waycroft MAT staff and children pride themselves on the high standards of work, pastoral care and discipline. Our mission statement is to enable our pupils to be independent, confident members of the community who are equipped with skills to be lifelong learners to engage with their dreams and aspirations.

There is a clear focus on school improvement across the MAT to ensure pupils have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our children participate fully in the life of the school and leave fully equipped with the necessary social, technological and common sense skills to be outstanding citizens ready for the next stage of their education. Waycroft Academy is a vibrant two form entry school for 3-11 year olds with spacious grounds. It is a large school with a small school ethos where children love to learn. Waycroft provides a broad and exciting curriculum which encourages all talents to be nurtured and which results in high standards being achieved year on year. As a ‘Rights Respecting School’ all adults and children understand the importance of valuing and inspiring each other within a stimulating, caring and friendly environment.

Early in 2014 Waycroft Academy became Waycroft Multi Academy Trust and has now joined with Wicklea Academy in Brislington, Bristol and Woodlands Academy in Stockwood, Bristol to form a three school primary Trust. 

Woodlands Academy is a one form entry school in Stockwood, Bristol. It has a spacious site with a large field backing onto woodland and a forest schools area. Woodlands has a very strong Early Years Department with a Nursery which takes pupils from the term following their third birthday. Good links are being established with the next door Children’s Centre. 

Woodlands is well known for its strong parental links and its open door ethos. Families receive outstanding support to ensure their children become confident and secure learners as they are known so well by all the adults in the school. Woodlands is engaged in the Rights Respecting Schools programme and offers a range of musical, sporting and afterschool club opportunities.

Woodlands Academy was graded 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2022.

Wicklea Academy is a two form entry Junior School located in Brislington in South Bristol. Its purpose built state of the art facilities includes spacious classrooms, excellent IT resources and a Library at the centre of the building. It backs onto the beautiful Nightingale Valley which offers opportunities of outside learning. Wicklea follows a broad, balanced, engaging and challenging curriculum which is well enjoyed by all pupils and staff.

Results at the school are rapidly improving and their awareness of the world and personal and social development is being further enhanced through the Rights Respecting Schools programme.
