Overview

West Wimbledon Primary School is a two form entry community primary school with nursery for children aged 3-11.

We also have Merton's Base for children with Autism, which we call Treetops.  This provides specialist education to children with autism and is an environment in which our expert staff assist the children to learn and grow to their full potential.  Children in Treetops also access our mainstream classes and are full members of our school community.

About Us

Children at West Wimbledon Primary School say that "our teachers make learning fun".   We strive to give every child opportunities to explore topics, to be challenged to progress and to be motivated to learn. We see learning as a skill for life and it is our task to equip children with that skill, so they can fulfil their potential.

We know every child in our school as an individual. We tailor their learning path so that everyone receives appropriate levels of stimulation and challenge in their work. The level of care we provide for every child creates an environment in which children can thrive, they feel safe and happy and they are ready to learn.   Children in our school speak 40 languages between them. We celebrate this diversity and because we treat each child as an individual, we see children who join our school with no knowledge of English, participating fully in lessons and making excellent progress.

We celebrate the successes of all our children. Success academically, behaviourally, in Music, Art or Sport. These are all part of learning in our school.
