Wood Street Infant School is an exciting place to be, full of outstanding children, enthusiastic staff and lots of wonderful learning opportunities. With just three classes our small, friendly and caring school offers unique experiences for every child. We have very high standards; achievement and attainment is outstanding year on year. Our emphasis is placed on offering a creative, inspiring and motivating curriculum which excites and enthuses our children. We have superb outdoor classroom environments with access to a large field, woodland and pond areas which extend and enhance the high quality learning that goes on inside the school.   

We believe that learning at our school is fun and exciting, challenging and rewarding. We offer a warm and caring environment which enables children to feel safe and secure as they grow, learn and develop. The foundation of our success is happy children working hard in surroundings, which include the whole community, where everyone feels valued.  We are very proud of our school and strive to ensure everyone who has a part of it has happy memories. Children leave Wood Street Infant School as successful, independent and confident learners and hopefully will carry a skin of resilience from which they can draw upon for the rest of their lives.
