A warm welcome to Woodmansterne Primary School and thank you for the interest you have shown in our wonderful, creative school.

If you're looking for a school where your career can grow, where you'll be supported as well as challenged and with all the facilities and resources you need  then look no further.

After our amazing staff team and fabulous pupils, our grounds are our best feature.  They are extensive and kitted out with all sorts of facilities, outdoor classrooms and more to help bring learning to life and engage the pupils as well as being used extensively for sports and letting off steam!

Our pupils are well behaved and enthusiastic.  We have a set of school values which permeate throughout the school based on respect, responsibility, resilience and reflection - visitors often comment on how polite our pupils are.

Woodmansterne staff are proud to work here and we'd love to show you the school in action and chat through options for your next steps.  There's nothing like visiting the school to get that feeling of whether it's the right fit for you so please get in touch if you'd like to come and see us.  We have a talent pool system in place for candidates so even if we don't yet have a suitable vacancy for you please do register so we can let you know if anything comes up.

If you have any questions please give us a call or email the school on school@wps.org.uk.  We look forward to hearing from you.

We are based in Banstead in Surrey on the borders of Sutton and Coulsdon. Set in fantastic, spacious grounds, we have great facilities throughout. Our most recent Ofsted (November 2016) judged us to be a good school. Woodmansterne is part of two local partnerships allowing us opportunities to share expertise and training.

Teacher Training with Glyn Surrey SCITT

We believe that the best place for trainee teachers to learn how to become excellent classroom practitioners is in schools. We offer Initial Teacher Training (ITT) through a variety of routes where trainees spend the majority of their time in a school environment, whilst receiving high quality support and training.

Learning in this way means that trainees feel part of the school community in which they train.  It allows schools to grow their own and offer successful candidates a long-term career pathway that goes well beyond Initial Teacher Training.

Glyn Surrey SCITT is an alliance of highly successful schools in Surrey and beyond, led by Glyn School, a national Teaching School, Ofsted rated Outstanding and an Accredited Provider for Initial Teacher Training.  We have a very strong history of providing exceptional ITT since 2013, with a 100% employment rate, often in a trainee’s host school.  We are passionate about the quality of our training and the size of our cohort allows us to know our trainees individually.
