4 days a week (St Paul's) & 1 day a week local GST school
About this Role
The successful applicant will:
· Be a qualified teacher with more than 4 years teaching experience
· Have a passion for (and examples of) the impact of their commitment to SEND
· Be enthusiastic and committed to improving the educational outcomes for pupils with SEND
· Work closely with the HT and AHT, keeping them regularly informed of pupil progress, interventions and support in place and highlighting, where necessary, changes and developments needed, liaise and work with external agencies
· Hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination or NPQSEN, or be prepared to work towards the NPQSEN
· Ideally have had experience of applying for an EHCP, as well as challenging EHCP banding decisions, holding annual reviews etc.
· Have knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
· Have the ability to lead staff in developing their knowledge and expertise in working with SEND children.
· Be able to use pupil progress data to accelerate the progress of pupils with SEND
· Have the ability to work with and support parents of pupils who are on the SEND register
