We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join The Chandler Church of England (Aided) Junior School.
Working in close partnership with the Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping our Christian ethos, driving our vision of Every Light Shining, and ensuring an exceptional education for all pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader who is committed to high standards, inclusive practice, and the wellbeing of every member of our school community.
You will help lead the strategic direction of the school, support high-quality teaching and learning, uphold a strong culture of professionalism, and ensure that safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. As a visible and positive presence in the school, you will build strong relationships, model exemplary conduct, and contribute to a warm, nurturing environment where children thrive.
In return, we offer happy, enthusiastic pupils, a supportive staff team, committed governors, and excellent opportunities for professional growth—particularly for those aspiring to Headship. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a significant impact in a vibrant, caring and ambitious school.
At The Chandler, you’ll find a genuinely nurturing and inclusive community where every child is celebrated for who they are. We understand that each pupil brings their own strengths, needs, and stories, and we work closely together to help every child flourish. Our caring, committed staff build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families, creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel understood, encouraged, and able to thrive.
Joining us means working with:
• A welcoming, inclusive, family-centred school community
• A hardworking, dedicated staff team who always put children first
• Enthusiastic pupils who feel safe, valued, and supported
• A strong culture of nurture, ambition, and continuous improvement
Visits to our school by prospective candidates will be welcomed and encouraged.
