Required as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and adaptable Engineering Technician. Based at Bristol Technology and Engineering Academy, but working as part of the team at Abbeywood, you will be expected to provide specialist support to teaching staff, including in-class support with student activities at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 and to work without direct supervision as agreed with the Leader of Learning for Engineering. You will have a relevant vocational or academic qualification or practical experience in an engineering related activity, have a good working knowledge of health and safety and experience of using specialist machinery. ICT skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is organised, flexible and enjoys working in a practical environment.
This is a part time, 20 hours per week, term time only plus inset days post.
This post could be extended to full time (37 hours per week) for candidates who can offer support to Science as a Science technician. Opportunities for further training will be provided.
