Abraham Moss Community School is a 3-16 school serving a multi-racial community in North Manchester. The school is oversubscribed and in September 2014 we extended our provision to include nursery provision. There are currently over 380 pupils in the Primary Phase and over 1200 pupils in the Secondary Phase. We are a truly inclusive, community school which has been recognised by the Inclusion Quality Mark who awarded us flagship status in July 2014:
Welcome to our website - I hope you find the information it contains helpful. To give you an overview of our school, we are a forward thinking school with over 1800 pupils, we have received an 'Good with Outstanding Features' report following a recent visit from Ofsted.
We aim to give all students a sense of purpose and put them in good standing for the next stage of their educational journey.
The shared aim is to provide an outstanding education for children of all abilities. Every opportunity is offered to inspire children in their learning. We want every child to exceed expectations and actively encourage close co-operation between home and school.
We are proud to announce that we are now part of The Dean Trust’s family of schools. Our school has a long established and positive reputation amongst the local community.
Over 1800 pupils from Reception to Year 11 enjoy a broad, aspirational and enriching curriculum which aims to provide our pupils with the best possible opportunities to follow their chosen pathways through life. We celebrate the diversity of our school community, embracing the culture and heritage which permeates school life and helps to broaden pupil experiences and awareness of the world in which they live. We strive to recruit and train the highest quality people who always place our pupils at the heart of what they do. Enabling pupils to see their potential and believe in themselves, aspire to achieve their full potential and succeed in their journey through life. Please take the time to explore what we have to offer and if you would like to arrange to visit the school, we would be delighted to meet you.
At Abraham Moss Community School we are entirely committed to the wider development of our pupils and actively promote the British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs. Our core principles of inclusion and diversity are embedded within students everyday school life and experiences. Our broad and diverse curriculum ensures that our students develop into local, national and global citizens where British Values are at the forefront of their development.
We are proud to state that students at AMCS are well prepared with the necessary skills, knowledge and moral compass needed to effectively and positively contribute to life in modern Britain.
