Acorn Education Trust is looking to appoint a motivated and hardworking Site Operative to support with lock-up duties at Kingdown School. This is a wonderful opportunity to join our dedicated Site Team, which is responsible for general school security, safety and maintenance.
Required: November 2024. Working Hours: Part time (12 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year, includes teacher Training Days).
Kingdown School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years. We have a strong reputation in the local community and beyond, built on an unswerving focus on the quality of teaching and learning and great pastoral care. Ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire, our school is located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. We are an academy under Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.
Reporting to the Site Team Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the school is locked after hours, ensuring the site and grounds are safe and secured. You may also be required to provide occasional security, safety and maintenance support across our other Trust settings so a driving license is advantageous.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Holds a full, clean driving licence (advantageous);
- Has strong interpersonal and communications skills;
- Is organised, self-motivated and consistent;
- Is a really strong team player;
- Is well presented with professional approach;
- Is interested in developing a career within a growing Multi Academy Trust.
We can offer the successful candidate:
- An ambitious and vibrant place to work, with enthusiastic children and staff who are passionate about learning;
- A workplace where everyone feels valued and supported;
- Opportunities for training and progression;
- The support of Acorn Education Trust, with excellent opportunities to work with experienced colleagues;
- A supportive and clearly defined induction procedure.
