Dilton Marsh Church of England Primary School is looking for a dedicated Class Teacher to join its welcoming and supportive team, with effect from April 2025. This is a wonderful, part-time opportunity for an experienced teacher, who shares our passion for children to grow into independent and resilient learners, and unlock their future for a world in their time.
Contract: Fixed Term (until 31st August 2025). Working Hours: Part Time (0.2FTE). Required: April 2025.
We are a happy and popular, single form entry, primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11. Located in the charming village of Dilton Marsh, we have strong relationships with the local community and Holy Trinity Church. Our staff are dedicated to providing a safe, happy, caring, creative and nurturing learning environment, where everyone is valued as an individual and encouraged to become independent and resilient learners. Our strong Christian ethos of tolerance and respect flows through the whole school. As a founding member of Acorn Education Trust in 2014, we work closely with other schools within the Trust to provide the best possible education, opportunities and support for our young people. In November 2023, we were proud to achieve a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in all categories, with inspectors praising our staff for their ‘high expectations for all pupils’.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is committed to becoming a truly excellent teacher;
- Can teach a broad range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment;
- Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress;
- Has good knowledge and awareness of current initiatives in the Primary Curriculum (KS1 and KS2);
- Is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best;
- Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to our team and across the wider school community;
- Is committed to the need to safeguard and nurture our pupils;
- Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;
- Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;
- Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
- Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
