Acorn Education Trust is seeking a confident and reliable and Driver to support our Central Team in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of school meal provision across our Wiltshire-based school sites.

Working Hours: Part-time (8 hours per week, Mondays and Fridays, 38 weeks per year – no Teacher Training Days). Required: November 2024

At Acorn, we pride ourselves on transforming education locally, with our two nurseries, sixteen primary and three secondary schools being at the heart of their local communities. As part of our Collaborative Services Team, you will play an active role in delivering school meals across our settings, and will report to the Executive Chef / Head of Estates.

The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving or delivery role is desirable.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a full, clean driving licence;
  • Can work under pressure and meet deadlines, prioritising and scheduling effectively and efficiently;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff, pupils, and external agencies;
  • Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills;
  • Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent and takes pride in their work;
  • Is really strong team player who can use their own initiative;
  • Is aware of health and safety requirements;
  • Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
