Willowbrook Primary School is looking for a personable and motivated Pupil and Parent Support Assistant to join its dedicated team and offer support to our pupils and their families. For prospective applicants looking for more hours, this role could also be done in conjunction with the Admin Officer role.
Working Hours: Part Time (13 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training Days). Required: January 2026.

As a Pupil Parent Support worker, you will be required to provide a range of support to our children and their families, helping to address any challenges and improve outcomes. This may include helping children with SEN needs, behavioral, emotional and social development and communication skills, while also supporting parents with parenting techniques, family issues and providing advice on how to access to other support services.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff, parents and external agencies;
- Enjoys working with children and can develop positive working relationships with them;
- Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
- Has previous experience in supporting children / families;
- Is a strong team player, who is able to work effectively with our hardworking team on whole school issues;
- Is dedicated, self-motivated and consistent;
- Is an active listener with the ability to be sympathetic and supportive, but firm when needed;
- Is committed to improving the life chances of all children;
- Has experience working with young people with SEND / behaviour needs (desirable);
- Is willing to learn and attend relevant training.
