Opportunity for a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant

The school requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant from August 2026 to work in Foundation Stage 2.

The post is temporary in the first instance, with a strong possibility of extending beyond this.

Interested applicants must have English GCSE (A*-C) or equivalent, preferably Maths GCSE (A* to C) or equivalent and considerable experience of supporting children’s learning in a school setting.

Salary: Level 3 TA (points range 11-14)

We are looking for a team member who:

  • is a highly organised and effective practitioner, who has an excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
  • is willing and able to teach a whole class as part of PPA provision and provide short-term cover on occasions
  • is confident with all aspects of Early Reading, including teaching and supporting phonics.
  • is able to work on own initiative to effectively intervene in learning and give appropriate support at a high level to identified children
  • has the highest expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • has experience of working with SEND children with complex needs and be willing to provide one to one support (including intimate care), when required
  • is keen to develop professional expertise
  • is creative, flexible and has a sense of humour
  • has good IT skills
  • is willing to allow time before and after school to liaise with other staff
  • enjoys working with supportive parents, governors and the wider community.
