Our school is situated at the northern end of the Highfields district of Leicester. The area contains a diverse cultural, religious and linguistic community.

We were rated “Good” in our latest Ofsted Report (February 2020).

'Pupils behave well in and around the school. In class, they engage effectively with their learning, they cooperate well and listen attentively when an adult is speaking to them. As one pupil explained, ‘We are with our friends and people that we trust.’

Shenton Primary School is a large primary school in Leicester. We have 360 children in 16 classes from Nursery to Year 6. Most of the children attending are bi-lingual or multi-lingual.

Our ‘Atlantis’ DSP (designated special provision) opened in January 2024, and is an integral part of the school, with children with Communication & Interaction Difficulties and Autism. The class is settled and are a delightful group to work with. There are 8 children in the provision ranging from 7 to 9 years of age with 3 adults working as a team to meet their needs.
