Languages are a core part of our day to day at Babington, with over 72 spoken in school which offers an incredibly unique opportunity for linguists to thrive. We are therefore delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for an inspirational and highly motivated Subject Leader of Spanish to join our very talented team from August 2025.

This position would suit an ambitious teacher looking to rapidly develop their progress; you will either have existing leadership experience or the ambition to take your first steps into leadership. Regardless of experience we welcome applications from teachers who are inspiring and knowledgeable and want to make a real difference to the lives of our students.

It is a very exciting time to join the Languages department; our Languages team is a strong and very well established department with excellent facilities, delivering both Spanish and French to KS3 and KS4. All language specialists are encouraged to apply however the ability to offer Spanish to KS4 is essential.

It is a very exciting time to join us at Babington; we are an Ofsted Good school, with “Good Behaviour and Attitudes” (OFSTED 2023). We provide a vibrant, inclusive and diverse 11-16 school where our students are our best resource and is a place where the best teachers can make a huge difference to the outcomes of our students. A new Principal took over the school in May 2024 and “has a clear vision for improvement” (Challenge Partners, 2025).
