Backwell School is a wonderful place to spend your working day. We have a beautiful rural setting with the fabulous cultural opportunities of Bristol just a few minutes away. Our teachers are well-qualified experts in their subjects who love teaching and we have over 1700 fascinating and positive students who enjoy their learning.

Our students achieve not only academic success but they also take part in a wide and exciting range of experiences in and out of the classroom: theatrical, musical, artistic, technical, outdoor and just plain fun! Sport, too, is an area of major success for our students and our teams and individual students consistently win competitions and trophies across a whole range of sports.

Backwell School Staff can use our fitness suite free of charge before and after school.

We currently operate three dining facilities on-site, providing a variety of hot and cold food options.  The food is provided by Aspens and is reasonably priced, healthy and delicious!

Backwell Leisure Centre is situated next to the school. Facilities available for use include a swimming pool and squash courts.
