Permanent - 0.4/0.5 contract
MPS/UPS
To start from 1st September 2026, we are looking for an exceptional Drama teacher who will inspire and motivate students in this high performing Bath boys’ lower school and mixed Sixth Form.
We need someone with dynamism, who aspires to the highest standards and who will create a buzz and excitement about Drama and Performing Arts. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate exemplary classroom practice and will be required to teach Drama at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level. This position is equally suitable for an experienced teacher and one new to the profession.
Drama is relatively new to our curriculum at Key Stage 3 and we are looking to grow the subject and move it into GCSE from September and hopefully beyond in the future too. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the journey to increase opportunities for pupils to study drama and develop their drama and performance skills at Beechen Cliff School working within the Music and Drama Department.
The school examination results are very strong at both GCSE and A Level with a track record of high attainment over many years. The school also has a vibrant extra-curricular life which includes sport, music, drama, outdoor activities, debating and public speaking. Many staff contribute significantly to this programme and a willingness to contribute will be an advantage.
Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant pre-employment checks, including checks with past employers.
