An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Bradgate Education Partnership, working at Wreake Valley Academy as Teacher of Computer on a permanent basis for 32.5 hours per week. We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Computer Science to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our popular and successful Computing and IT Faculty. You will join a dedicated and inspiring computing department committed to delivering a rich and ambitious curriculum that develops students’ digital confidence, technical capability and computational thinking. We welcome applications from early career teachers as well as experienced colleagues, including those returning to the profession.
As Teacher of Computer Science you will;
• Be willing to teach Computer Science across all key stages
• Be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to improving the life chances of students in your care
• Be forward thinking, creative, receptive to change and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Be committed to developing strong curriculum knowledge and high quality delivery
• Have the ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students

The ideal candidate will:
• Hold QTS status
• Possess excellent subject knowledge with the ability to articulate their expertise within their teaching
• Be an excellent communicator and able to build positive working relationships with pupils, parents/carers and stakeholders
• Possess the ability to teach high quality lessons and consistently provide learning opportunities that progresses student’s learning and achievements
• Be a team player – whilst it is important as a secondary school teacher to work independently, there are regular points of the working day and week where working alongside support staff and other teaching colleagues is vital, therefore working as part of a team that is supportive and effective is paramount to the role
