Working Wks: Term time + 1 week (39 Weeks)
Grade: Grade 5, Pts 7 to 8
Salary: £13,417 to £13,662 per annum

Ratby Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis to support a child in Year 1. We are currently exploring the Autism pathway for this child and receive support from Oakfield Behaviour Forum.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Key Stage 1 Staff team. The post will initially be on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year when it will be reviewed dependent on continued funding.
This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to provide support to a pupil on a one to one basis both in and outside of the classroom to enable them to develop their social and communication skills as well as the Year 1 curriculum and to support the child in engaging with small social communication group activities.
The ideal candidate:
• Will be someone who identifies with our Trust and school values
• Will hold an NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent experience
• Will have the ability to provide the appropriate and professional support as required
• Must have experience of supporting with children with Autism / Pathological Demand Avoidance/ Social Communication difficulties to access a mainstream classroom
• Must have experience of delivering social communication interventions
• Will have experience of using de-escalation and Team Teach strategies
