A new and exciting opportunity has been created for a Technical Manager to join Bradgate Secondary schools. The Technical Manager will oversee and provide comprehensive support to the Teaching staff within the Science department. Responsible for ensuring the safe, proper use and maintenance of all resources, chemicals and equipment to enable effective delivery of Science lessons to A-level, Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
This role is a rewarding one with successful candidate having the opportunity to be part of the recruitment process to recruit a further science technician on commencement of their contract.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be proactive in their support and planning of departmental resources to ensure smooth delivery of the schemes of work.
• Work closely with the teaching staff and head of department to organise and procure equipment, resources and materials.
• Lead and motivate the Science Technicians across both Bradgate Secondary schools providing advice, guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Provide Health and Safety advice to both staff and students for the preparation and delivery of lessons.
