An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join Wreake Valley Academy to support the Operations Manager and Office Manager in providing an efficient administration service to the school and wider school community. The Administration Assistant will be required to work 8:15am – 4:15pm, Mondays – Thursdays and 8:15am – 3:45pm on Fridays.

The Administration Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of administration in a busy and rapidly growing Secondary School. The post holder will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties including communicating with parents/carers and other schools; supporting the transition of primary school students into the school; handling the administrative aspects of exclusions; and managing student medication data. The post holder will also be the key contact for school transport enquiries and support with the organisation of school events as required.

This role is a rewarding one with the successful candidate having the opportunity to join a strong and dynamic team of professionals across the school, with opportunities to develop their skills through CPD and with guidance and support from an experienced Operations Manager and Office Manager.


The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience of working in a busy office environment

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at a range of levels

• Be highly organised with a keen eye for detail

• The ability to be flexible and adaptable

• Have experience of working with various ICT packages including Microsoft Office

• Have experience of various school systems e.g. Arbor, although training will be given

• Have the ability to deal with confidential matters sensitively with professionalism and integrity

• Have the ability to react and adapt positively to change whilst remaining calm under pressure
