An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Mercenfeld Primary School as a Learning Support Assistant and Midday Supervisor on a permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a successful and dynamic school environment.
In addition to the Learning Support Assistant, the role includes midday supervision, which involves supervising children for 30 minutes per day during lunchtime throughout term time.
The Learning Support Assistant is responsible for providing support to our pupils and teachers to deliver high quality education. The successful candidate will assist with whole classes, small groups and 1:1 sessions with SEN pupils. The ideal candidate will understand phonics and early reading to aid in progression of learning, and be adaptable and flexible in various educational settings, using your own initiative.
The ideal candidate will be motivated and passionate, eager to be an integral part of a successful school. You should display a strong sense of professionalism and determination in all tasks, be open to learning and developing new skills, and have the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate will:
• Be NVQ Level 2 qualified (or equivalent)
• Have experience in a classroom environment
• Have the motivation and passion for being part of a successful school team
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills
• Have the ability to contribute to the progression of learning
